Twin mattress retention ideas

Can someone please connect me with an existing thread that can give some ideas on how to prevent a twin mattress from sliding off the frame. Or offer an idea that they have tried and found to work. Thanks in advance.

Add a 1/4" or 3/8" strip of plywood along the edge to extend the width by about 3 or 4". Problem solved.

We've never had that problem with any our twins. Is the supporting surface plywood or a composite material? I would think the pads used to keep rugs from slipping would work and are pretty cheap.
