I am getting the walls back in on a 1963. Eventually will be flooring, curtains, Formica & vynle.
My only thought at this point is to plan around that classic tourquis of the 1950’s. (I’ll post a pic when I get back to the house).
I’m a retired accountant, and don’t trust any of my creative instincts. Seems like I’ve seen sample color swatches pinned around a central color, that can be used to coordinate, flooring, curtains, counters, etc.
That was what we did with our 1964 GlobeTrotter. The original upholstery was turquoise when we obtained the trailer, but was very tired...we just updated the implementation. It was always a hit at Open House! Why they paired the turquoise upholestry with avocado green curtains & carpet I have no idea! But that was not a "design feature" I wanted to continue!

i would look online for retro art or retro tea towels and from that draw inspiration.
i would also think pinterest would be a great source of a 1950's color wheel.
i found this with a quick google on sherwin williams paint site. https://www.sherwin-williams.com/hom..._a5y_p=5192778
