Suprise

I am trying to solve a problem and hope you might be of help. I have a 1967 Airstream Overlander. I had a big surprise while working on my Airstream. I was draining my white water tank and found there is no gray water tank. Do you know why there is no gray water tank? My Overlander has the toilet molded in. Under the toilet lid there is a plastic trim ring. Do you know where I can find one. Also what do I call that ring. John

Grey water tanks were not added until later years. (1973 I think)

Unknown on the trim ring, but I could use one also.

Grey water holding tanks were not factory installed until 1974. If you don't want to perform surgery under your coach, you will have to use a blue tote-a-long tank to hold the grey water.
As far as the trim ring, they tend to disappear on older toilets, and your best bet would be to acquire a new toilet. They are relatively inexpensive, and you will then know who the last person to use it was.

If you camp where they do not allow you to put wash water (we no longer call it gray water.) on the ground, you will have to bring along a Blueboy tank and connect it with a fry pan and garden hose.

And now the serious answer:

A "fry pan" in this case, is a termination cap (the part that clips on the end of the sewer drain pipe) with a garden hose fitting on it, so you can drain your grey water into a blue tank, without turning brown.

Just for clarification sake:

White Water = Fresh water tank
Grey Water = Wash water (sink & shower)
Black water = Toilet waste

Also known as a termination cap. Here's what mine look like: '64 Term Cap

They changed over the years, but you'll get the idea where the name comes from ~

Thank You for your help. The man helping me restore my overlander (40+ years a camper) when I ask him, told me he and all his frends still called it white, gray, & blackwater.
