Stripping out everything

Hi everyone,

I just bought a 1969 Sovereign and a friend of mine volunteered to do the dirty job for me, stripping the insides(yay!).
I have a question for those of you that have done this yourself, what would be a fair price to pay for this kind of job?
The trailer has all the original appliances including couch, beds and bath. It is twin model.
Thanks for your advice!

To keep things simple...pay per hour and set the time limit for 10 hours and see what gets done. Then decide from that point what your next step is. Jmo

Welcome to the forum!

Good advice so far.

You should set up some rules of engagement, so to speak, to ensure that the demo is done methodically . . . without hurting what remains. Define the scope of the work first. For instance is the interior aluminum skin going to stay? Removal of cabinets etc. must be done carefully, so as not to damage the interior skin.

So . . . no wrecking bars or sledge hammers!

You should find all the fasteners holding cabinets etc. in, and remove them carefully in reverse order. The interior skin is very thin and easy to dent and damage.

Check out The Love Shack thread for a sample demo . . . good photos and sense of humor.

You should supervise all the work and be prepared to change course when needed.

Happy Trails!
