Started with a new tiolet!

Could not find a replacement part for a 43 year old toilet, go figure. So we thought a new toilet with a china bowl would be nice. That led to a new cabinet, countertop, window film, sink, taps and paint. $1,000.00 in parts later and we have a new toilet.

And, I’ll bet it took at least three trips to the big box home improvement store to finish the project!

Plus the toilet and sink came from Amason. The 3 local RV part suppliers were no help when we approach them with our project. A 40 yr old trailer whats the point, was the look I got.

That's why owners of older Airstreams really need to be somewhat of a do-it-yourself mindset.

Even with my 2007, I'd rather do it myself, if at all possible. I only have help on stuff like bearing repacks, and other messy stuff. Since my favorite service center closed down, and the guys that were there are now too far away to easily get to, I've gathered the appropriate tools to do that myself as well. Thank heavens for a good supply of heavy nitrile gloves to keep some of the greasy mess off my hands...
