Size of compartments under FC 25RBT beds.

Not near my trailer to measure myself but wanted to order a safe to mount under one of our twin beds. Wondered if any of you have height and depth measurements on both sides. It is a 2023 model but suspect all recent model years are the same. Thank you

I’ll be pulling our 2023 FC 25RBT out of storage later today or in the morning. If no one has the figures for you, I can measure.

I am interested to see what kind of safe you are putting in and how it will be mounted. Are you mounting into the floor, cabinet, or shell?

I’m not sure yet depends on measurements. Would like to mount on partition between compartments but hadn’t thought to measure or take pictures. Ultimately it will be a gun safe and another jewelry cash etc safe. I understand nothing will prevent all thefts but might slow them down and lead to them leaving before success. Saw a gun safe on Amazon that I am hoping will fit. We will be traveling cross country with the ultimate destination at our summer place and don’t want to leave handguns in FL but transport safely. And legally.

Bonus hidden compartment

Billb603, good idea on the safe! Looking forward to what you end up doing.

I found another spot for a hidden compartment on our FBT. I converted the drop down doors to drawers and used two of the hinges to make a door from the fixed panel at the end of the bed.

You have to take the top off the bed to remove the screws that hold the panel on. Once the hinges are on you can open it by pulling from the top edge - but only you know it’s there. Quick access to stuff a purse, laptop or other things you don’t want visible.

I have one of those gun safes posted above. While it's good for keeping curious kids safe it will not stop a thief at all. If they don't pry the door open they will certainly pry it off whatever you mount it to and take the whole safe.

What jeff put together is an oustanding idea. A false wall inside a cabinet could also be done easily.

Here you go:
Camp Side: 15” Deep x 24” Wide x 12.5” High
Street Side: 8” Deep x 24” Wide x 12.5” High

The forward and rearward compartments on each respective side are the same size. Since the door opens and lays on the floor, the height measurement is from the top of the opening to the inside of the door laying open (not the full opening itself since the open door causes you to lose some height).

Today I was hunting a location for a hardwired surge protector, and removed the false back from the compartment under the refrigerator (which is very shallow). Behind that back wall was a cavernous opening! A great place to mount the surge protector, but thinking back to this thread, it would make a great hiding place for a safe as well. A little modification to that rear wall for easier removal and you would have a great place for hiding a safe.

I have a 2016 model and bought a Stack-On medium size personal safe that I bolted thru the floor in the roadside rear under bed compartment. You can access the bolts under the floor from the rear outstide roadside storage compartment. Bought it at a Sportsman Warehouse in Chattanooga for about $100.00. Stack on model PS-1814-E with details at their website. Has a shelf and you can store quite a few things.
