ResistAll Interior Protection. Is it worthy?

I'm Buying a new Interstate Ext 2014, and I've been offered from the dealer the ResistAll interior protection for aprox $500 and the ResistAll exterior paint protection for aprox $1,300. Can anyone say if it is worthy? Thanks

It's worth it for the dealer. If my dealer would have suggested it to me, I would find a different dealer since I feel it is a scam.

ResistAll is a real product, unlike the no-brand-name "paint protection" (i.e. wash and wax) and "fabric protection" (i.e. Scotchgard) offered by most auto dealers to inflate their profit margins. It's not a scam. However, it's probably not worth the expense. Unless you plan to frequently camp on the beach where your Interstate would be exposed to salt-laden air, the factory paint coating (which already includes a clear-coat) will last as long as you own your Interstate. And the interior is already as close to stain-free as possible in an RV (aside from the fuzzy "mouse-fur" wall panels), so I very much doubt that the interior ResistAll treatment will add to the longevity, either.

Future floor wax (polish) works great on the vinyl covered walls as well as bar aluminum.

Costs just a few bucks.

Get a small bottle and test it.

I use Turtle Wax Ice in the spray bottle for protecting all hard surfaces inside my Interstate except for the Corian counter top and table that may come into contact with food. Oh, and the textured floor covering, which I just sweep and mop but never wax because wax would build up in the texture and look worse than no wax at all. It's especially good on the walls and ceiling in the wet bath.

Over the coarse of years, we used the Futrue stuff on many customers coaches, without ever having any less than a "WOW" response.

It amoung other nice things, never yellows.

If it's good enough to walk on, it's good enough to put on the Airstream walls, plus brightening up the interior.

Ah, how things change in time.

That material is now called "Pledge with FUTURE shine floor finish".

It's available at most any grocery store.
