Replicate vinyl texture on new skin?

I need to replace one of my interior skins and I would like to find a way to make it match, as closely as possible, the texture of the original skin with the vinyl coating. Any ideas?

You don’t mention the year of your AS. If it’s the 70’s-90’s type, I found a dove grey background solid color with Heritage/Antique white and a tan sponge paint works well. Get some color samples and try on scrap wood or MDF first. Use a good sea sponge. Rotate the sponge or use several different sponges.

Thank you! It’s a 1975 Ambassador and the texture has almost a woven look to it. Of course it’s filthy and I plan to clean it and paint the vinyl.
