Removal of labels & stickers

Is it generally recommended to remove the interior & exterior labels & stickers on the stone, refrigerator, exc. If the labels are to be removed what is the best product to use so there is not scratching or residue left? Thank you.

Heat it up and peel it off. Get it warm but not so hot you can't touch it and they should come off with the glue. Any residual glue can be removed with Goo Gone adhesive remover. Rub with the grain on aluminum and stainless.

Or soak with WD-40 and remove.

I would leave the GVWR, etc., on the outside. Yes?

The rest of them are the worst stickers ever! I've had my AS a year now and still haven't removed all the stickers.

I just got rid of of all our stickers using Goo Gone and a microfiber cloth. I did leave the GVWR sticker. On our last trailer I used paper towels instead of the microfiber and it left faint scratches.

Forgot to say that I first peeled off as much as possible by hand before using the GG.

The easiest and safest way is without chemicals. Vigorous rubbing on the clearcoat with anything even mildly abrasive can cause fine scratches that you don't see until later (on a sunny day). Use a 3M Adhesive Eraser Wheel instead.

Another vote for Goo Gone.
Works well on leftover adhesive after peeling off labels

In Vermont they sell a product called "Goof Off". Probably the same idea.

Goof Off is way stronger than Goo Gone and can create other problems I don't recommend it unless you are careful and don't let it sit too long and avoid getting it into the seams as it could ruin the seal. If you can get Goo gone WD40 is good.

I used a plastic razor blade and then isopropyl alcohol. When used gently, it worked great, no scratches anywhere, even on sunny day.

Soak rag/microfiber towel with isopropyl, soak sticker with rag, then use plastic razor to take it off. Then go over gently with rag again to get residual off.

I've tried everything under the sun and nothing works as good as good old WD-40.

WD-40 also works to remove tar and bugs from exterior.

I found it better at driveway oil removal than stuff they sell for it.

Really does work. Give it a try!

I agree. WD-40 sprayed onto a microfiber cloth does the trick.

Today was sticker abatement day using WD40.
Lets hope all the stickers were not needed for structural support.

Our 2018 FC19 is supposed to ship in a about 2 weeks. Would it be in bad form if I were to ask the dealer to remove the stickers as part of his prep work?

I don't know about bad form, but I suspect they wouldn't be able to do that for you. It's not hard, and it only takes a few minutes per sticker when they are pretty new. At least that's all it took for mine.

What, if any, should remain? Are there any that are less likely to cause corrosion?
