Question Recommendations on Table Pedestal

So I'm currently remodeling our 2007 International, we're doing a grand lounge remodel. And considering using the Springfield 3-Stage Air-Powered Table Pedestal.

Man are they pricey. And I plan on using two!

The thing is, I really like the idea of being able to remove the table. And I'm curious if anyone has seen or used a collapsable storable pedestal.

So far all the ones I've found are fixed height:

One or Two ?

Did you end up using one, or two, pneumatic pedestals? My new walnut table is 7/8" x 33 x 35.

It depends on your application which would work better, but I give +1 on Lagun for its sheer versatility.

I have two mounting brackets in our Airstream Interstate - one in the front where my passenger seat swivels, and one in the rear where I can work from the couch.

Front office quad (pics taken before I rounded the corners of the table top):

Rear office:

Edit: Another view of the rear mount. The table top can be pushed out of the way without needing to be removed.

Table top storage - hangs on back of wet bath door:

I'm doing mine now and ordered just one of the Springfield units. Seems VERY sturdy, but ask me in a week when I get it I installed!

Liebroc Industries was cheapest (shipped) that I could find on the pedestal.

(Call me crazy, but I will first try to install the pedestal with VHB tape. If it wobbles, then I'll consider screwing into the floor as a backup plan. )

We have a international 27FB and ordered two more of the collapsable legs from www.kitchesource.com and will install them by the back wall. Now we will only have to hang the table top in the notches and the three legs will support the table. We have a smaller solid wood table top now that we like to exchange with the original when the grandkids spend the night. The two legs cost us under $80.00.

Take a look at Bob Miller's thread on the motorhome forum. He has sourced one of the motorized pedestal, as sold by Airstream for $2600 for a tenth of that from Japan.

I sourced one made in Germany through a RV parts dealer in France.

The plywood top in these photos was just to test the functionality. The horizontal movement lock works against the bottom of your table top.

Rotates about 35 degrees to either side:

Here's the website.

They will give you a quote for freight before ordering. Surprisingly,
my freight was only 38 Euros. They shipped with TNT Freight, which is owned by FedEx. It only took about 3 weeks to arrive.

I would make one recommendation if you get this unit. The lock cable where it comes out of the pedestal has a strap to position it. Remove the strap and let it come out perpendicular from the base. Re-position the strap on your table top. The cable works better if it has 'gentle' curves. the factory retainer is very close to the end of the cable and I believe it puts strain on the cable.
