Which tank? Gray, black, fresh? All are flushed and working fine. Is there an inherent flaw that you know of in one of the stock tanks?

Oh. The tub. It works great! I doubt having a bath is likely with only six gallons of hot water, but it is super roomy for showering. We have a bit of a southwest thing going on with the decor, so the sheep tank fits right in. I've had quite a few people have a look through it and all say "WOW!!" when they go in the bathroom, so I'll take that as a sign that it works for others as well.

I must be a "cup half full" kind of guy, as I seem to attract the REAL projects! I think this one was owned by some goth Salvador Dali groupies! It's all black and melted on the inside!

Yes, that's a melted clock

Had to post my traditional "heap of interior on the ground pic:

It looks bad, and to some it might be a throw away, but I'm into it for the cost of the tires (which are brand new!), and it will give us a blank canvas. I have it almost all gutted now and will pull the interior skin and replace it with shiny new aluminum. This should be the best one yet!

Looks like a great project. Have fun with it and I am looking forward to seeing what your vision does with this one. I know it will be good.

Based on how well your Argosy turned out, I have no doubt that next project will turn out great too!

It was slightly more than free, but only just! I've got it gutted out now except for the interior skin and that will probably be coming off tomorrow or sunday. I want to get all the smoke tainted bits out as it stinks a wee bit. It is looking remarkably solid with little to no floor rot. The only thing that I will need to replace due to the fire (aside from everything!) with stock pieces is the left front window trim. The rest of it will be wide open to design. Not 100% sure where it's headed but I think modern and clean will prevail.

I know it's been a while since you posted here, but it was great to meet you two today. Can't wait to see the latest photos of this project when you're ready to share.

For inspiration, here's another interesting thread from a couple who restored an Airstream that had been through an exterior fire which also caused internal damage: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f516...ud-131783.html

If you don't mind me asking, how did you anchor it? And what are the strips of wood on the walls and floor?
