misaligned shower door

I am looking at a 2011 Classic 30 where the shower and the commode are on opposite sides. On my inspection the shower door was jammed in the closed position and requires a significant amount or lifting at the handle side for it to open or close. My concern is that this misalignment may represent a more serious problem (such as floor or axle) . All other doors and drawers appear to be functioning properly. All help and advice welcomed. The trailer in General is in very good condition

Thanks,

Are you sure that the bottom seal isn't causing it to do that? Mine (seal) drags but the door opens fine.

Did you put a level on the floor?

Could you be more specific about using the level on the floor?

Thanks,

Did you place a 2' or 4' level on the floor to see if it was warped, raised, uneven, not level front to back, side to side. Anything that may indicate a problem with the floor. Also a torpedo level inside the shower door would indicate if it was level. Of course, the trailer needs to be level to check this.

Before going nuts...there is a long history of these doors sliding down in their tracks.

These are just tow of the threads. Search on "shower door" and read away.

I doubt it is a frame/floor problem.

Carver it is a common problem. Had it happen on my 2014 FC25 after about 3 months. While there is an adjusting screw at the top hinge side of the door mine was actually bent. When I went to Jackson for a list of warranty work, all minor, they replaced the door and then added a nylon block shim under the door next to the hinge securing it with a wood screw. Problem solved.

In the meantime you can do the same thing. I found some nylon wedges at HomeDepot in the areas with rug runner/furniture floor protectors. Trimmed one down and put it under the door in the same area. Problem solved.

Also before I got it fixed with the temp wedge to open lift up on the top of the door. That worked and of course it shaves off the door wipe at the bottom

Now that i am the proud owner of the fore mentioned 2011 30 Classic I got to work on the shower door and was able to solve the problem. I removed the two bolts that fastened the glass and left side of the door to the channel hinge mechanism. With a set of dividers I drilled and relocated the two holes equidisstant below the existing holes (about 3/8"). In essence raising the door. I then, with the help of my son, replaced the glass and left side of the door into the channel, making sue that the relocated holes lined up with the receiving threaded part of the channel making sure that the glass unit was all he way in the channel. Tightened the square head screws and VOILLA !!!, problem solved. The door swings freely and the plastic seal on the bottom still has contact enough to prevent water from leaking out. Thanks to all for your responses.
