Marmoleum Floor Prep Bondo or Epoxy

I am about to fair my floor before installing Marmoleum. I will be using some penetrating epoxy as per Topís method it seems very sound approach my only concern is going over the 1Ē headed elevator bolts.

Does anyone know if it would be better to skim coat with Bondo first sand and then go over it with epoxy?

Or would epoxy right over bolts be ok? I suspect it is due to others experience but I would hate to have it lift off the heads and float under the Marmoleum.

Any ideas or thoughts would be very much appreciated
