Angry kitchen tambour stuck

so the tambour in the kitchen is beyond stuck. it never workedall that great and then when i tried to fix it , things got worse even to get to the roll-up mechanism is near impossible. anyways the door is stuck half openand its a real pain. what can i do. how difficult is it to replace/ fix this. or maybe i can put cabinet doors on it. any help from someone who has had similar problems would be appreciated. thanks

It is most likely binding where the tambour enters the spiral track. You can bend the tambour, bow out the center, to get it off the track. But you may also break it. My solution to this problem was to cut the long piece of tambour in half so you have 2 pieces. Then you only have to slide half as much or less into the spiral and and can slide the other piece and forth to get at stuff at the end or middle.
Sail on silver girl. Sail on by. Your time has come to shine.
