Is Strip Screen original equipment?

Attached is a photo of the Strip Screen that came with our Bambi II. I was wondering if this is an add-on or if it is part of the Bambi's original equipment.

I've never seen anything quite like this before. It reminds me of the strips of plastic you sometimes see hanging over the refrigerator compartments in grocery stores. There is a thin strip of plastic mounted above the door, parallel to the floor, with a channel running through it. Each strip of screening material has a bead along the top which slides into the channel.

I believe that this screen is an after market addition. Your Bambi would have the door inside a door type screen, no?

No, our Bambi II doesn't have the door inside a door type of screen. It is a door
with louvered screened windows on the top half.

I have recently seen 4 vintage Bambis, but none of them had this type of screen. Sorry, could not remember the door setup.
