Hi there. We are the proud new owners of a 1991 29' Excella and are doing some renovations. We have a quote for interior repaint of approximately $9400 Canadian. This includes walls, ceilings and interior and exterior of all cabinets. Does this sound like a fair price?
Yes this quote sounds ridiculously high. Get an explanation from the painter as to what they propose to do. For example, do they intend to completely gut your trailer, then paint the walls, and then reinstall the interior? If so, then the $9500 might be justified.
I am by no means an expert but I have to agree 9500 sounds outrageously high
Get some other quotes & don't get them from people the guy who quoted you 9500 suggests!
I am in Ontario Canada- we are renovating an 87 Sovereign. So far- we have spent about 650 on paint- top of the line in Benjamin Moore. We chose 3 colours- but if you went with one- you could potentially cut that in half. Man hours so far on paint alone is about 95. So, I feel 9500 is excessive- my aunt had someone paint her entire home for 2500.
However- if time is more important to you, and you have the money to spend- do what makes you comfortable!
