Interior Aluminum Walls

Im new to the forum so i apologize if this has already been asked/answered. Im wondering if all airstream trailers have aluminum interior walls. If not, is there a place to find a list of which ones do or don't?

Older trailers had a white carpeting called 'mouse hair' by many. After swatting a couple of mosquitos full of blood, you'll see why lots of folks love the aluminum interior.

Welcome to the Forums!

It might be easier if you tell us what years you are interested in, and then we can tell you about their interior walls. Incicentally, do you mean the shiny "modern" interior walls, or just walls that are made of aluminum, but painted, coated, etc.?

I have a 69 Ambassador. Thought about painting but then watched some of the vinyl removal videos on YouTube-looks messy but not too hard. Once removed and polished is that all there is? Help this newbie not make a bunch of rookie mistakes-thanks!

We attempted to strip ours, but either we used the wrong chemical(s) (we tried about 6 different things) or we are wusses, in any event it got the best of us and we decided to paint. Here's the fruit of several hours and expensive chemicals worth of time (it's the lower left panel in this picture):

Note that we were also dealing with a layer of previous-owner-added paint in addition to the vinyl, so that could have been a major contributing factor in our case. Here's a youtube video we referenced when trying it out:

In the end we decided for our situation paint would be best anyways, given that we have young children who just smear up a shiny aluminum interior as quick as we can clean it. Here's the end result, we're pretty happy with it:

Thanks everyone-looks like painting maybe the easiest cheapest and delivery best results for the effort.
