I'm DONE!!! Want to see an original interior remodel?
I posted a bunch of the pics. Since all of the curtains have light blocking on the back, it makes the trailer extremely dark when they're closed, but I wanted to show the curtains off. These are not vintage pics. Everything in here was photographed a few hours ago. we did a lot of work to restore trailer to original. Same fridge, same stove, same original table, even the original clock in the front. Retouched the zolatone and cleaned it, repaired the hood scoop, new tiles on the floor, new light covers and curtains, but all within keeping to the 60s. The gaucho fabric is 60's unused stock from a grand hotel. The bifold doors were made off the original, using parts like the original magnetic door latch, but the fabric has been replaced using sunbrella fabric. The LED tv swivels out of the way when you're not using it and can be seen from the living room, or flipped to be watched in the twin bed area. The toilet was crazy hard to get, but it fits in the original spot, and the original sink was carefully buffed to get rid of the oxidation, and bring back the original shine. The toilet is a porcelain toilet, and elongated. This necessitated building a brand new toilet seat cover off the original design, but with new sunbrella vinyl in a close match to the original.
I had a really unmolested original trailer and the focus was to make it look like it might have in 64. Tons of upgrades you can't see (LED lighting, 10 gallon hot water tank with electronic ignition, intellipower converter, 3 gel batteries, 2 gray tanks, black tank, all with tank washers, new everything outside too - but I restored the original tv antenna and rock guard. I'll add the exterior pics soon.
more pics in the photo gallery, just search by robwok.

Oh, and here's the gaucho
The goucho finished at last. It has hidden legs in the front. you can extend it regular, or, pull it out another 8 inches and drop the legs, then you've got more room away from the front shelf. We tried it out and found it comfortable to stuff a body pillow up there, so then it wasn't nearly as cold when it was below freezing outside.

Beautiful restoration, I love seeing this type of work to keep the look of 1964.

Very impressive. Your attention to detail is impeccable. Your trailer should be in a museum for all to see, it's too nice to camp in. P.S... I don't think they had flat screen t.v. in '64.

Yeah, the tv is the only glaring detail. Thought of making a cozy for it...

Got you there
Thanks. I'm glad I finally got it done too. That's actually not paint. That is the original gel coat on the tub. I didn't think it could happen, but with a ton of sweat and hard work, you can buff out 50 years of oxidation. There is a tiny bit of airbrushed paint around the back of the toilet seat as it needed to fiberglass a little when I changed out the seat from a plastic to a real wood seat.

A tiny bit. I removed the inside plastic in the door, and repaired it from the back side. However, I did touch up a little bit on the front side to smooth out some plastic repair I did. Mine was bright white, so I was able to use a bright white plastic paint without a problem.
