I have seen the C channel, and it is Grand!!!

Can anyone suggest the method for taking a floor out of my 57 over lander! It has those sunken elevator bolts and isn't really rotted in any spots that I can find. Do I cut into the floor and start pulling it out? Is there a way to get those bolts out from the top side? I am currently not planning on doing a shell off. Thanks for help.

Possibly, I have been working on the trailer and need to get some things done before it gets to cold

Albert,
There are lots of resources on this forum for doing a floor replacement without taking the shell off. If the floor is not rotted, why take it off?

Well the beat goes on. The floor has been removed, the frame flipped and belly pan removed and the flipped again. Next step is solidifying the plan for the frame and off to the trailer frame builder.

Just in case anyone has some doubt, I am a complete novice. No real mechanical skills etc. i continue to do things with this trailer that I would think are way beyond my ability. Short story is "just do it". if you argue your limitations surely you will have them (Richard Bach, Illusion). Nuf sed. Click image for larger version

The frame is off to the welder for almost complete re-fabrication; went with a much taller frame for many reasons (see my replacement frame post)

My welder is great, and he lets me help.

Many great people giving great advice makes the unknown a lil easier to navigate. That said, I also began straightening my banana wraps in prep for the rebuild. Like most people the wraps take some abuse and I thought I would have to find some replacements. I thought I should try to fix them before buying something else. I used Aerowoods wood block method and touched them up with a body hammer and dolly.

See Aerowoods Full Monty post. Should be compulsory text for this course. He basically makes a wood form and the sandwiches the wrap between the two halves. I cannot do his work justice and strongly suggest anyone attempting this read his posts. He is my metal workin hero. Thank you. It is with the advise of people like him and many others on this forum that I forge ahead.
Thanks again
