How do you remove the buttons covering the screws in the lounge?

I am removing the lounge in my 28 Int'l Sig and I want to remove the backrest. There are fabric covered 'buttons' covering the screw access. How do I remove those without damaging?

Thought I would ask before I am pry them up with a screwdriver...

Thanks!

I am pretty sure that those are just pop on covers that fit on the end of special screws. A nylon pry tool or even the corner of and old credit card should do it without damaging the material.

Figured it out.

The key is to pry evenly on both sides of the 'button' head simultaneously.

They are attached to nails driven into the fabric and wood to cover access to the screws. When I was prying on one side only is what bending the button head relative to the screw without pulling the screw out of the wood.
