Fluorescent lights in the front windows?
Howdy!
We have a used 29' 1988 Excella 1000 Airstream. My wife recently cleaned and repaired the curtains and discovered in the front area two fluorescent light fixtures neither of which have light bulbs. The one by the front door is approximately 17" and the one on the opposite side of the trailer is approximately 36". Both are located in the window area between the curtains and blinds. We have not been able to locate fluorescent bulbs for these light fixtures. I'm guessing that's why they are missing an have not been replaced. Can someone advised were we could purchase bulbs for these fixtures. I see no reason not to use these fluorescent fixture or Airstream would not have installed them correct?
Thanks

I have a 1986 Excella 32' with 15" and 18" fluorescent fixtures. I found all my bulbs at Lowe's. They seem to have a large selection of sizes. Best of luck.

I am also looking for flourescent bulbs to go in the fan/light fixture in the front ceiling of our 93 Excella, part# F14T8-CW. Have tried several big box stores with no luck. Any suggestions?

If your ballest or starters are bad you will be send back for new bulbs very soon. Replace them before you put in the new bulbs.

Vent light bulbs
I found the tubes for my vent/lights at Lowe's $8 and at Home Depot $7. They don't stock many of them but can get in more quickly. You do need to check the ballast first to see if they are working. To replace the ballast it will cost about $24 to $35 plus the tubes.
i am looking at replacing my dead ones with LED strips. Anyone else done this? This will provide long life at low cost. From what I have found out it will be less than $25 for the changeout.

I have replaced all my fluorescents with LED strips. Bright white for work areas and soft white for over couch, living room ceiling, and BR. I like them fine. I did put 4 strips in the one in the bathroom (for putting on makeup, etc)...NOT me, my wife!

Atlantalightbulbs.com and alldaylighting.com are other sources to consider.
The 36" tubes are almost surely F25T8.
