I used a sabre saw. Mocked up first with Sharpie, coffee percolator was the determining factor for sizing. Drilled holes where the curved section meets the straight section and started the curved cut from one of them. Used the rip fence attachment to follow around the outside edge to cut the curved portion. Clamped a yardstick as a guide for the straight section. Unfortunately, the blade started walking, hence the slightly bowed straight cut.

A router would most likely be the better tool to use but I don't have one.

Several people have indicated that they don't use their sink cover.

If you wish to sell yours, please contact me off thread via PM or email.

My sink covers are white plastic cutting boards. Aren't everyone's?
Of course, mine aren't round, so I just stand them up next to the sink, leaning against the wall of the bathroom when parked but not in use.

Greg
Likewise, I would be interested in buying someone's unused round sink cover.
