I believe it was Five for Fighting who had a song with a line:

a modification on an oldie:
"Been there, done that, going there and doing it!"

Off the center, Peter Yorn did a song with a line I like:
"...it's got me out of my mind and I don't know what I came for...."

and for pesty visitors: "Must you stay, can't you go?" or "Come again when you can't stay as long!"

Love the multiple Tolkien quotes on the "Not all who wander..."

One of my favs:"I'm not under the alcofluence of incohol tho some thinkle peop I are!"

My all time favorite, which my kids threaten to kill me over, "I'm not as look as I dumb!"

Often said when someone passes us oogling all the way:

"Yes, it's an Airstream."

You know you're not a newbie anymore when you can say, "If only I'd known then what I know now…"

“People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of
life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they
continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive.

It is as though they were traveling abroad.”

Favorite Airstream / Camping Quote

These are all great quotes and sayings. Thanks for the input! The airstream community doed seem to be a good one and I can't wait until we get to meet some of you members in person.

How about....

"I was going to behave but there were too many other options."

"The best way to get a child outside is to go with them."

I have a little different take on this. I've always thought the best camping stories, at some point, contains the following phrase:

"And then it started to rain"...........

"The joy is in the journey" quoted a little differently, earlier.

And on the back of our trailer in the window: Living the dream: America, Freedom and Airstream.
(we got some weird looks in Canada)

As an Airstream newbie...remember before our purchase many forum threads about buying bigger than you think you want...buying another 2' every two yrs. or so...my motto-

BUY LESS, CHOOSE WELL.

Same economic philosophy could also be said for the "stuff" we add to our Airstreams!

I tell everyone that Grandkids are the reason we didn't kill our kids. (They think I'm kidding)

Airstreaming may leave you speechless,
then turns you into a storyteller.
