End cap fell off from seam

Part of the end cap interior skin fell off from the seam. What is the best ways the fix it?

I might need to replace the strip with a wider one to close the gap due to end cap shrink in order to support the end cap. Where can I source the strip?

It might help understand what's going on with a little more information...what year/model is your trailer? It's hard to tell from these pictures...is that plastic or a wallcovering?

Did you shoot that with a flip phone? Need better images and more explanation to be able to chime in.

It's common on trailers that old. It has 2 contributing factors.

The ride (I bet you have original or toasted axles on there)
And the hardness/shrinking of the plastic moulding.

It is 1992 AS 29' Excella Classic. I believe the end cap is fireglass. At the seam the end cap slips out of the strip support. I think I can use a big strip to replace the existing so that it can support the end cap. Don't know where I can source the trim strip.
