I was wiring a security light underneath a new carport that covers my Airstream and have walked gingerly on the roof before but this time it got me. I left a dent, probably nearly a foot square on a seam in the front above where registration numbers are two the left. It is not visible, however is there any methods for taking this out that are fairly simple and not to expensive, that I could do myself. I have recently retired and have plenty of time and have noticed I am pretty handy with proper instructions. Any advice would be a great help and thanks for your time.

If the metal isn't stretched and there are no hard creases in it, a suction cup may work. A few people have had luck with a plain old bathroom plunger. Wipe any dirt off the roof and wet down the edges of the plunger for better adhesion. Work from the edges to the middle. BE GENTLE when applying and removing.

Other people get suction cups from harbor freight that lie flat on the surface - then you create suction by pulling back on a handle in the middle of the cup. Same principle is used to handle plate glass, car windshields and even raised computer floors... so you might be able to borrow a suction cup from one of those businesses.

Also plain old sunlight can cause the dish in to pop back out.

Guys who remove dents from cars use "pullers" which are attached via special HotGlue. They pulled a dent from my wife's car just last week?

The a hot glue is specialized and releases without harming paint. Might be worth a 6pack
