Bulkhead/interior walls

Talk to me about these bulkheads and interior walls. In my '57 Overlander, the original walls were 1/4" plywood, and they were only in the back area, separating the bathroom from the rest of the trailer. We did the same thing, but I see folks hanging pictures, shiplap, you-name-it on these walls. How does that work? Aren't they a little too flimsy for that much weight? I'm just curious. Would love your suggestions on what you did.

They may have replaced older bulkheads with thicker material.
The newer bulkheads are thicker.

Mine are a little thicker than that, closer to 5/16ths. I used 1/4" ply and a 1/16th of an inch of PVC to do the one that closed off the shower (see pic). The others I think I was able to get 11/32nds ply and I plan on using liquid nails to glue 1/2 inch weathered board to the sides that are visible from the front.

Thank you! I wonder if I could use liquid nails and wood to add some bulk to mine....hmmmm.
