Hello everyone,
I have an '65 Safari, that had twin bed's up front that were FAR too narrow for my tastes, (
http://rawfire.torche.com/~taz/Airst...ICT0703-r.html WAY messy when I got it) so I removed them. Now 5 years later, it's time to make something permanent from my original temporary queen size platform I installed, along with an actual queen size mattress. The size works well for my girlfriend and I so we would like to stick to that. In addition though, we would like a L or horseshoe couch in that location. When we have people over we will use it as a couch, but the rest of the time it will stay as a bed. The question I have is this: What do you do about bedding with this configuration? We really like using normal sheets, and blankets like you would at home. So building it out (woodwork) is the easy part, but the mattress side I'm at a loss, hence my post... here is my space all stripped out:

I will not be doing the work for a while, as I plan on doing a complete gut of the interior as I already have installed an AC unit in my center roof vent, but the '65 did not have power run up there, so I will go ahead and remove all the inside panels to run new wire throughout the trailer, as well as make some other changes, and re-do the insulation, floor, etc. Thanks for your comments!
