broken folding door - can this be fixed?

The leading edge of our Irving folding door in our Serenity has come out of the track. The photo show that the plastic tab has broken and won’t stay in the track. I can’t fine any replacement parts on the web. Current plan A: get a suitable plastic washer, cut a slit in it, slip it over the tab and try to cram into the track. I hope someone has a better idea. Thanks.

Had the same issue. I contacted the company and they sent me a new tab. I just drilled out the old one, can't remember if I riveted or bolted in the replacement. I seem to recall a clearance issue because I didn't want to remove the track bar.

Same problem. Irving was very helpful!
3/16 pop rivet-- took the track loose to gain acess to one end.

Quick fix (also lasts longer):
  • Remove brass eyelet.

  • Loosely install small zip-tie through hole where eyelet was removed.

  • Loosely install larger zip-tie through small zip-tie and over rail.

  • Tighten both zip-ties slightly while leaving enough slack to allow room divider to slide easily.

Obviously, this doesn't look as nice as the original parts. However, it's quick and easy; and it will last longer than the replacement parts many have difficulty obtaining.

Call the manufacturer. They sent me a handful without charge via USPS when I explained the problem.
