Booth recovering/remodel. Need inspiration please!

Hi folks.

We are ready to ditch this upholstery that was probably cool sometime, but which we dislike. While the cushion recovering seems a relatively easy decision, we are confused about what to do with the carpeted base. It's not a look we love. We like clean lines, simple lighter, brighter colors. Willing to consider rebuilding, though it would be easier to just have it recovered with....what? Would LOVE TO SEE YOUR PIX. Maybe there is already a thread for this that someone can direct me to.

Sorry the picture is sideways. Learning curve.

(P.S. is this what mouse fur is??).

Booth recovering/remodeling

We recovered and cut down our dinette a few years back. Took the whole thing out and cut it down so it's even with the wall, it's a game of inches in a trailer... We removed all the upholstery and re-covered the cushions and the doors. We loved the look of the wood we found underneath so we polyurethaned and left it as is.
I can't seem to figure out how to attach a photo to this. I've added it as an attachment. Hope you can see and good luck with your project!

Nice look. May have it give this a try this winter. Hopefully the wood under my mouse fur looks as good as yours seems too.

Hi. We are finally moving forward on this and we just pulled the cover off one of the little doors and it has white melamine on it. I wonder if the rest of it also is melamine….did you cover the doors because they were melamine, not wood?
