Yes, the bunks fold up, too. They fold in half, and slide into the white brackets on the end walls. There is also a bunk on the other side.... they are square aluminum frames with the original canvas and thin mattresses. Both 'cots' were in great shape, just like brand new when we got the trailer about 3 years ago. They are very much like the old camp cots, except that they hang from the ceiling with cable wire, and hook into brackets on the wall. You can barely see the brackets in the pics. The overhead cabinets are also original to the trailer. Someone told us that the bunks were added afterwards, but someone else told us that the bunks were a special order in 59. We don't know for sure, but we like them.
