Bathroom door mech & striker
2019 25RB Serenity: We had work done by our dealer, when we got it back we noticed the bathroom door closing was different. They had to repair the fridge deck and most likely changed the parameters of the doorway with all the work they did to fix the water leaking in......which to us was priority #1.
Now, in order to close the door, we are seeing the two metal wrap arounds where the door striker comes out hitting on the metal striker plate......meaning the door is too close to the jam and the screws are clipping the striker plate.
The door closes and the striker and plate alignment are good and work as expected......it's the door side mech that is causing the issue of added force to open and close the door as the mounting screws it the plate causing interference.
I can't see any way to repair or adjust it.
Has anyone seen this before?
We are eventually going to make it to JC and thought they'd do it for us.....but it may take 2 years to get there......anyone have any suggestions on how to address this without having to return to the mothership?
