Bambi Sport 16' Storage Closet Makeover

Like most Bambi Sport owners, storage is a problem. After our first 3-week trip to Utah I knew I had to make better use of the closet space to provide additional storage. After looking at posts on this forum and Pinterest, my husband designed our closet makeover. I'm thrilled as I now feel like I have a place for everything and can keep the main cabin clutter free.

The attached photos show the closet details and here is the list of materials my husband used.

Home Depot closet shoe shelf cut approximately 16 5/8” wide (to fit) and back end bent 90 deg X 1”.

Home Depot/Lowes vertical shelf tracks cut to size. Associated track stops and screws.

how many shelves? I could not see exactly how many shelves in the storage closet.

More details on closet makeover

Yes, we attached the side rails by screwing into the wood with #4X1/2" pan head screws. There are four shelves total and they can be easily removed for access to the panel below - we can also add more and/or adjust their location.

For whatever reason, I can't get the "total picture" photo to load upright - have tried rotating, etc. So - my apologies... but look at it sideways and you'll get the idea :-)

I have clothing on one shelf, pots and pans on another, and plan to use other space for food storage - we're getting ready for a week long trip to NM so we'll see how it goes - so nice to have options :-)

Great idea! Did you have to physically bend that one side? Or does the shelf come like that. Was the only change you made to the shelf cutting it to the width of the closet? What did you cut it with???
thanks

We found the shelving at Home Depot or Loews and it was already bent. I believe my husband cut the shelving with metal shears although they will cut it for you at the store if you ask.
