Anyone used Novus on plastic bath parts?

I have painted my sink and tub with rustoleum tub and tile refinisher. I have 2 coats on and it will need another coat for complete coverage. I didn't get the smooth coverage I was hoping for--it has a fair amount of orange peel texture, as well as some runs from my sloppy work. I know I could sand it down before my next coat goes on, but I am lazy and was wondering if anyone has had any success with Novus polisher or any equivalent polisher. I have an electric polisher so that might help alleviate a lot of the elbow grease. Should I polish now, or wait till I apply the last coat? Or am I stuck with hours of tedious sanding (which I'll probably never do). Hey, at least I'm honest

I judged it on my Airstream side window - had a large scratch on it - and Formus took it right out. I am so impressed with the product.
