Adding a Towel rack to wall
Hi there I want to know if anyone has advice on how attach a towel rack to the wall behind the toilet. Right now there is a wall that has wallpaper on it but not sure what is behind it and can I secure a regular mounting?

Hi Uke, can you tell us model and year of your airstream? That might help us help you. - Brad

I'm not familiar with your Bambi's layout but I added a towel rack to the wall in front of the toilet in our Globetrotter. I ordered one from Airstream through my dealer. Probably not the cheapest way to go but I wanted to make sure it was an exact match for the existing one behind the toilet.
The new rack came with a paper mounting template and using it I eyeballed and measured everything thoroughly to make sure I wouldn't be drilling into anything or coming out the other side of the wall. I drilled holes in the wall and used the smallest plastic wall anchors that would work. The result was a bar that is very sturdily mounted and, to me, looks like it came from the factory.

If you are attaching the towels bar to a smooth surface, e.g., an aluminum interior wall, you ought check out Hasko. We have had excellent experience with their products inside our coach. No damage to the walls and they never come loose.
We've many friends, that when they've seen them in our coach, have done the same. They all rave about how well they work.

Not a towel rack, but I installed a grab bar on a wall with no access behind it. I used brass threaded inserts. Measured very carefully.
Very strong.

Mollydad,
My wife and I met you at the 2017 Alumalina in Palmetto Cove RV Park in South Carolina. You graciously showed us your 26U which we loved. We towed our new 26 RBT back to Montana from Colonial Airstream last week and are loving it!
Nice job on the grab bar. Below the TV is a great location. Where did you find the hardware?
Thanks,
Bill
