A small folding shelf 'mod' - Flying Cloud 28
Since the "little things mean a lot" (according to the old song), my brother and I made and installed a small folding shelf for his great 28 footer. It gives him a place for his coffee maker with a bit of room to spare. Also, it provides a couple of small cubbyholes for whatever.
We used a remnant of the Flying Cloud laminate for the cubbyhole thingy, and red oak for the shelf. The colors all look good together.
Anyway, he's pleased and that makes me happy. Thanks for taking a look. Oh, and there's a photo of us taken right after the installation (he's the good looking one!)

Very nice!
Our old 1985 Sovereign 25' [with rear corner bed] had a similar flip-up table to the left of the curbside galley stove/cooktop, where it partially blocked the main door entry. It was very handy for passing BBQ fixins outside, and a body could wiggle by to go in and out.
Here is that table in grey in another Sovereign [rear twin beds] -- ours was Formica as I recall:

The top edge of another similar table is in the following thread, and pictured below:

That top edge looks too high, but when the table flips up, that edge covers the plastic trim on the top of the cabinet side to the left of the cooktop/stove. Great forethought from AS, because the table then becomes a "new counter" to the left of the stove!
Genius move, Wally!

PS -- There is room for a similar flip-up table on the left as you enter the main door, but that little bookshelf/magazine rack would have to move:
Just when you thought you were done helping your brother!

Yep, I made one of those flip-up shelves for our own 23D. It was my first attempt at working with Corian, but it turned out just fine. Really, really useful.

We did something similar in our 2015 FC28 RBQ. In addition we made the shelf removable and so it could slide toward the curb so it can be used as an eating or laptop station while seated on the lounge facing aft. I would post a picture but I’m digitally challenged.

RFP: nice job, but then everything we have seen you do is. Our 2013 25ft RB International came with that shelf. After owning our trailer 5 years I have finally convinced DH to make a few changes. The first was cutting off part of the sink cover, an idea that came from you. I am still working to convince him we need to replace the space waiting bolster by the door with storage. Nice job on that mod also!
