I need some help with interior pop rivets on my 78 argosy 20.
I bought some 1/8" rivets but they seem to small, they do not draw up tight. is the answer to go up one size? also what length do I need for interior work?
Any help on drill bit sizes would help also. My problem most likely is that the rivet holes are now larger than original.
The Wally Byam shop at the JC Service Center sells the thinner ones in two colours (cream and brown). You might have to order them through your local AS dealer.
For 1/8'' rivets use a #30 bit, if you use an 1/8" the hole will be too big. You can get the white alum. rivets from most hardware stores that sell materials to install "t-bar" ceilings (they are the same rivets). Also I have found if you wiggle the riveter a little as you squeeze that you can draw the rivet tighter.
