2008 AS interior wall finish

I have a 2008 AS Sport with carpeted interior walls. The bath is exposed aluminum. I know that the substrate in the remainder of the camper is aluminum and I have seen some areas (in storage compartment and under the dinette seats) where the fabric was not attached and the finish appears to be the same as it is in the bath. Does anyone know if this fabric cab be removed? I assume that the glue residue would have to be removed and the surface cleaned. I'd rather have the exposed aluminum surface instead of the fabric. I wouldn't want to attempt removing it until I knew exactly what I was in for.
Thanks for any advice.

I don't know, but have been told that the aluminum under the fabric is not the same as the kitchen back splash in our Classic. (the only exposed aluminum in the unit). I was told that the rest of the interior aluminum is not clear coated like the exterior and may have imperfections in it, as it is covered anyway.

I, personally like the "mouse fur" for two reasons:

1) is offers SOME insulating value. You just dont feel the heat/cold radiating off the walls, like the bare skinned models.
2) Velcro "hook" side sticks to it very well. All my decorating is done with Velcro and all my remotes, etc stick to the wall.

Now, if it just didn't look like Grandma's house.....
