Does anyone know where I can view photos of a 1970 interior? Specifically, I am interested in the 31' Sovereign interior. I've read conflicting information regarding 1970: was it really the last year to include "real" walnut interior cabinetry? I'm planning on buying a '70, and just wanted to compare "my" interior cabinetry with authentic 1970 A/S cabinets. Mine appears to be about 95% original....

Looks like a mix of the wooden interiors and the materials used from 71 on.
Tambour doors, laminate dividers, but real wood cabinetry. Very nice, I think.
Thanks for the input! I guess 1970 was not only the beginning of a new decade, but also a transition period for A/S. Going from the heavier weight all wood cabinetry to a real hodge podge of materials. The 1970 I'm considering is missing the tambor doored bins over the fridge/pantry. I wonder how difficult they are to find? All else appears to be intact!
I have a '70 Sovereign and might be able to answer your questions about the interior. All of the cabinets are "real" wood (very heavy); with the exception of the sliding wood slat doors under the kitchen sink and two small sliding doors for the cubby-hole located above the front window (these appear to be a laminated press-board material). Also, the pantry doors are aluminum framed, laminated press-board (similar to the sliding bathroom door). The two overlapping cabinet doors in the living/dining area (where the TV sits) are made of hard wood. All overhead and underbed storage doors are hard wood.
Sorry I dont have any pictures to post yet.
