I am looking for a campsite near Wilmington nc

Hi,
The only place that we have found in the Wilmington area, is the Wilmington KOA. It is your typical KOA (an older one). The sites are level and the campground is clean. The bathhouse could use an update, but they are okay. Nice dog park. It is easy to access from Interstate 40. It is about 6-8 miles down to the Wrightsville Beach area. We have stayed there twice.

Don't know if you are willing to go a little further away, but 58 miles to the south of Wilmington in Longs, SC is the Willowtree RV resort. It is about 12 miles north of Myrtle Beach back towards Wilmington. This is the nicest RV park we have ever stayed at. We love it there. Woodall's gives it a 5 star rating and they have earned it.

Thank you soooo much for letting me know. My son and family are moving there tomorrow . I would love to leave my airstream down there

There is a small family owned one down at Carolina Beach that is decent, pretty hard to get a space during peak season. There is also Carolina Beach State Park, but no hookups. There also used to be one at Holden's Beach and Oak Island (other side of the river from Wilmington).
