I would echo smithcreek. Just start reading. I would caution you to keep in mind, Airstream produces around 2500 units a year so as you hear about people having issues be mindful that they are relaying the issues found with their camper. Do your research and look for patterns and try to determine is the issue with the camper or a sub-component or dealer.
Part of Airstreams mystique/legacy is the incorporation of modern tech. That of course means more complicated systems is some cases. So it is something to keep in mind.
When it comes to the question of New, Used, or Restored, that's all a matter of taste and requirements. Newer units are wider but heavier. Used units how well were they maintained and or repaired. Restored....quality and competence, oh and integrity of the restorer.
