Came to the obvious conclusion an inverter will not provide the juice I need. I've set up a small shop in my Sport 22FB for making jewelry. Downsized and simplified almost everything but need to run a small exhaust/fume fan and a micromotor that may be sensitive to surges at 50/60 Hz, 250 Input Watts.
A larger polishing motor out side and occasional rock saws etc.
The Honda EU2000i Generator is as much as I'd like to spend.
Does if provide "clean" electricity or is a surge protector to be factored in cost?
I have two Honda 2000 that I have modified the gas caps so they can run off a five gal gas can. I have them mounted in the bed of my TV and have ran them all night without a problem. If we don’t need the ac just one runs.
The sine wave coming out of my Honda 2000 is a lot cleaner than the commercial power at the pedestal. If you anticipate running something with a significant power draw, turn the Eco-throttle off, it is a lot easier on the generator.
