BillfromWI-Thank you so much for your pdf "Winterization Blowout Method" which you posted years ago. I love the idea of the signage to remind us the unit is winterized and where the drain plugs are (as well as the count for our particular vehicle!
We are new Airstream 2019 Interstate 24 Grand Touring owners. Until 5 years ago we lived in the north....ND, NY, Upstate NY, Long Island, and the mountains of Virginia, where everything froze. We moved to Texas to be near grandchildren (and children

) arriving shortly before Covid and the "Big Freeze". In Fort Worth, we installed a drip irrigation system, which we run on drip every night when the temps might dip below freezing for a few hours. Rare is the sun not blazing warming the surfaces. Eventually, we get around to blowing it out, which takes about 2 hours because of all the tiny sections, end caps hidden under mulch and loosening and testing end cap valves, etc.
However, now, we have this Sprinter van with plumbing! I want to be able to use it intermittently in the winter months in some places in the deep South in times when prolonged freezing is not expected (explore places in Texas, visit folks in Florida, etc.). I have looked at getting the "air skirts" tube system, but I am wondering if it would be just as easy to winterize, or, at least, blow out and fill drains with antifreeze and be able to turn off the heaters completely to not provide a very enticing winter residence for squirrels, mice, etc.
What do you think?
Thanks,
