2018 CLASSIC 33FB: ALDE ‘down’

Boondocking has it’s challenges:
Checking the Climate Control on the FireFly through the night the heating wasn’t working (42degF/5.6degC).
Deselecting, and reselecting ‘radiant heat’ I could hear the click from the system but the furnace did not ignite.
Checked the Alde 3010 control panel behind a compartment adjacent to the shower and it was off, and I am unable to get anything from it.
It was working when we arrived at our current Harvest Host location (no services), as I needed to reset the clock and the timer for night time.
We just had the system serviced in Vermont 6days ago too: bummer.

Chances are the main circuit board in the boiler enclosure has failed. You can buy a replacement board from Truma for $250. Replacement takes about an hour, and a degree of comfort and experience with electronics and wiring is very helpful.

I have a 2018 Classic 33FB with the Alde 3010 system , and have full-timed for more than 5 years. As a consequence my Alde system has more accumulated wear and tear, and I have become a reluctant expert on Alde repairs.

In most cases the Alde 3010 operating failures are related to the main circuit board. The average lifetime of the main circuit board is 12-18 months of continuous use, based on my experience. I travel with two spare circuit boards and one control panel, plus the Alde emergency start plug.

Aircats:
your post was much appreciated, and spot on.
It so happened we were in Ohio when the system failed. Coachnet were not very helpful at all; my home Airstream dealership were helpful but unable to trouble shoot.
Being in Ohio we took a detour to Airstream Jackson Centre, and they 'jumped to the pump', and diagnosed exactly what you had suspected. They had a replacement circuit board which sorted the problem, but created another issue.
The Firefly touch screen wasn't talking to the control panel behind the panel in the bathroom.
Airstream asked if we were ok with operating the Alde from the bathroom panel: eh, NO!
Fortunately they had a replacement control panel, and once swapped out everything worked great.
We're now in Nebraska on our return journey to Calgary, Alberta.
We have a few real cold nights to navigate so having the Alde is critical. As I type this it's 20degF outside: a cosy 67degF inside.
If you are agreeable I would be real interested to pick your brains a little and learn from some of your full-timer Airstream lessons. If interested I'm at fitzpatrickduncan07@gmail.com.
Kind Regards, Duncan

I tried to buy a new board from Truma and they would not sell me one. Internet search and nothing.
