Anyone know anything about this company and its reliability.

I would be concerned about the noise level which will most probably drive you and everybody within 100 yards insane.

I've used a 1500? Watt version for 5 or 6 years now. We watch tv and power the DSS when boon docking...

Mine is mounted under the arm of the sofa and the fan noise is noticeable.

Harbor Freight is a crap shoot. Most people look at their tools as throw away tools. They are mostly Chinese and correspondingly cheap. Some tools last a while, some don't.
