Wheels while in storage

Hello All,
curious what you do with your wheels while in storage.
do you cover them?
do you remove some air pressure?
do you put it on wood vs the pavement?
thanks!

What period of storage are you considering, weeks, months, or years.

If a long period I would be more concerned with the axles than the wheels. Hinchen axles don't like to remain at rest. The rubber takes a set. If you are storing or parked on site for a longer period of time I would jack the trailer up enough to take most of the load off the axles.

I agree that if you are not rolling for an extended period - several weeks - I jack up the trailer to relieve the load. Any longer, I remove the wheels with tires and store them inside to keep dry and out of the sunlight. Good luck.

Axles and storage?

I jack up the trailer on my 30' and use a cement block with 2x6's on top to shim to the bottom of the frame on each side. This takes the weight off the tires and axles. This allows me to do my axle lubing in the spring, checking brakes and elect./hydraulic operation before and drop and roll.

Good luck and see you on the ROAD!
