Tankless Water Heater Winterization

My new 2021 GT 25FB has a tankless water heater. To winterize with compressed air, is there a valve to open ( like the tankless ) first?

Location of Valve on 2021 with tankless

Yes! I literally just had our 2021 25FB FC winterized this past Friday. I took both video and photos of the location. Ours is passenger side towards the front. There is a a small valve on the right side of the heater accessible through the front storage compartment. Open it and the tankless water heater will drain through a short hose (1/2” maybe?) that comes out of the bottom of the trailer. You could also look under the trailer for a short drain hose.

Hope this helps!

I have a 2021 Bambi 19CB with a tankless water heater. We're having a cold snap and it's currently snowing, hovering at freezing temps but expected to warm backup in a few days and I have plans to hit the road. Currently, the tanks are empty and I put insulation around the grey/black tank outlets outside the rig and towels around pipes of the toilet and sinks. What should I do to the tankless water heater outside to keep it from getting damaged?

I'm currently making it my home office so I'm working in it now and have the heater on low as well as a small space heater going. When I first came in this morning, the water heater display by the sink was reading "E1" but has since gone back to normal. Hopefully, there was no damage done overnight.

Any feedback welcomed!

Question Winterizing tankless water heater

I have a 2021 gt 23 twin and cant find a low point valve to open to blow compressed air through it. Does one exist on it? Or do i just open hot water faucet?

Ask an Airstreamer: Winterizing (inc. tankless water heaters)

We found this to be really helpful, especially the section on tankless water heaters. The Girard does not require any additional steps, which was good to know.

11:00 - water heater specific information

Good luck!

Does anyone have advice for insulating and/or adding a bit of a heating strip/pad their tankless water heater to help protect it against frosty days? We want to be able to get the season started earlier (and run longer) prior to winterization and - given that the Girard system is in a box outside of the other insulation - it seems to be the weak spot for the trailer. Thoughts?
