I look for RV antifreeze without ethanol. Two brands I have used are Prestone and Stabil.

Any local WalMart will probably have a perfectly functional RV antifreeze. I’ve used their red stuff for the last 3 years - no problems.

Why do you avoid ethanol?

I don’t pay attention to brand. Just pick some up when I see it in a store.

Ethanol will attack the rubber in your faucets.

Welcome Aboard!! 👍

I used the wallyfworld stuff in the beginning, but changed when the toilet bowl flapper and dump valve seals started leaking... now use brand name, no ethanol.
No longer put AF in the toilet or tanks. Add seal lube to toilet...started with olive oil, changed to crisco, tried THIS last Fall for the first time.(downside...to $$$), may go back to Crisco, proven good for 8yrs. "If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is." 😂

Yes - there’s some potential downside to the ethanol....agreed.

I had a toilet valve leak last year (winterized the bowl and left some in it) - researched these forums and found a solution that involves cleaning the flapper and ring with a toothpick (probably goes without saying, but don’t use that toothpick again [emoji3]) and then applying a liberal amount of food grade dielectric grease. Worked like a charm.

Will explore other AF options next year if better for the rubber seals overall.
