I've never seen any kind of purple stuff when I've drained my waste tanks or when I winterized.
I've heard— but never seen for myself— that RV antifreeze, when mixed with some brands of tank deodorizer or enzyme treatment, can produce an odd-colored "goop" that looks like it belongs in a 60's lava lamp. If that's what happened to you, it means that your black tank wasn't empty when you added RV antifreeze. You may want to fill the black tank with clean water, drain it, and then winterize the toilet again. In order to get the tanks as empty as possible, try elevating the curb side of your trailer slightly before draining.
