Hi

I have a couple feet to the Class A's on each side of me. They have a few feet of space in front and in back. That's in a conventional "garage" setting. Around here the valet outfits pack them in with a foot or two of space. Very much like a ferry boat, only tighter.

I'm in covered by not enclosed storage. My space faces north so the sun never shines on it. The facility is mostly class A followed by fifth wheels. I have 30 amp power, and the facility has a dump station and wash area with hoses and water. It's all paved.
Because I don't fill my 40', I put a "dock box" behind me. One made by Lifetime as a backyard pool storage box. Then I can keep tools, extra parts and not have to lug them back and forth. I chained it to the building frame with a Pewag chain. Yeah, they could cut the box, but people here already got past a security fence. There aren't people just wandering around.
I like it, it gets dusty, and is expensive, but other than a building at home, I can't beat it.
The down side is the packing and unpacking. It's not like having it at home. You make two trips for everything.

If you can find an indoor storage within two hours if your home take it! Think about the investment you just made. Image never winterizing, being close enough to detail and upkeep this trailer. Find a good place and enjoy just picking it up and goi g somewhere. We bought a 45’garage and insulated it and love the investment. Good luck

Hi

We have an indoor storage location. It's not heated, so we still winterize.

Nah, two hours is nuts. Ours is 20 minutes away. I wish it were closer, but it's the best we can find. We never even bring our trailer home anymore, we just leave from the storage yard. Sometimes it's a bit closer to where we are going, sometimes it adds a few miles. But I can zip over there anytime to do something or pick something up. And if I leave something home, I have not blown a half a day because I need to go back home. I wish we had the property to build a garage, but this is fine.

Nine years outdoor storage at our home in Northern California. Our summer temps go to 115 with fortunate mild winters. So far...no leaks in our 2013 25' Flying Cloud. Clear coat is intact and trailer continues to look beautiful.
My maintenance schedule is to wash and wax the trailer twice a year, silicon spray and lithium grease where appropriate and check caulk seams on roof annually for cracking or need to remove and re-apply.
