New "Barn" for our AS

Here are some pictures of a "Barn" I am building to house our AS and vehicles. It is a simple design of 3 bays 12'x28' for a total of about 1000 square feet. I have to build the doors, install solar lighting, finish exterior trim work and it will be ready for winter.

Really nice building, good use/ mix of materials.
I like it.
Do you plan on a hoist in the center bay? Is the wooden wall in the center bay for workbench and tool storage?

Interested in seeing it finished and trimmed out, keep us posted.

Cheers Rchaed

Thanks! The wooden center bay is to store my ping pong table out of the way and a mini bar.I have another out building that for I use as my workshop. I am not planning a hoist, maybe I'm missing something what would I use it for? I am planning some storage platforms hanging from the ceilings.

Sideways picture

Sorry about the sideways picture. The orientation was correct when I uploaded it. Does anyone know why it is sideways or how to fix? Thanks.

Barn

Beautiful Job. Wish we had a barn or even a awning cover.

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the photos! A nice looking building.

In my limited time here, I have found that the only way to get photos to post in the correct orientation is to have them on my Mac laptop, and then attach them on the full airforums.com full main site [not the App].

When I have tried to attach photos directly from my iPhone and iPad Mini, the results have been inconsistent. There is a sub-forum in which you can ask the site moderators and admins questions, in a new thread of your choosing. That would be an interesting thread IMO, but the laptop process here works OK for now.

Here is that sub-forum: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f138/

At the top left hit "New Thread" and you are off to the races.

Thanks again for the photos.

Peter

Thanks for the reply. The pictures were attached from my Mac on the main Airfourms site. Not a big deal, just thought there may be an easy fix.

Love the use of materials and design. Can't wait to see pics of the finished interior.
I bet we all want a "barn" for our TT.
We are looking at Airstreams. But will wait until we are located in another location where we can keep it on our home site.
We have 27' Lance TT now. Good quality and comfortable.
Maybe an Airstream in the near future.

Thumbs up

Very nicely done, Boone. Like the use of the corrugated fiberglass up top to brighten up the inside.

Boone we also like it very much. It has a contemporary and rustic look. We also like the varied heights it breaks it up nicely along with the varied materials.

Will the one on bay stay open in the back or just not closed in yet.

I really like it a lot as well. So much so I saved the pictures to perhaps use as a model to copy some of the same concepts from. I recently lost my precious wife and am considering selling my much to spacious house and downsizing. The thought came to me the other day about buying some acreage and building a garage on it. I would use to put the airstream in and include additional space for the van and some living space as well (bathroom and man cave). Your garage would fit the bill. Good job and good design. Really want see your finished building.

Thx yes, very well done.

Did you go off a plan or did you design it.

We keep looking at the various steel buildings and versatube type sheds but they have 0 character or style.

We will have to see ours out the back of the house so want it to be pleasing to look at.

Very nice! A modern, contemporary 'mountain' feel -- and practical too. We're trying to figure out what we want to do as well. Good inspiration, thanks!

Gosh Boone, at this point your best response may be to say that , yes.
Plans, construction details, and materials list are available for only. $$

It does look planted in your place for a new building.
Is the back side hunkered down against the N M wind.

Again nice job!

Cheers Richard
